Process time:

1. Laid down some colors and organized values until the mood felt right.

2. First render attempt, it felt a little too close to the source material (reference photos) without actually capturing the vibe of the subject at all- So I scrapped it.

3. A more exaggerated drawing followed- pushing the shapes further and allowing asymmetry to liven up the landscape.

4. Most of the color work was done, save a little tweaking here and there. I pretty much filled in the lines and arrived at the finished product seen here.
